Buying

  1. Search, or post what you needBrowse listings by type and state, or describe what you are looking for once on the Wanted Board.
  2. Add your license for wholesale productEnter your license number on your company profile. Prices, quantities and contact details for plant-touching products open up once we have checked it, and only for listings in your state.
  3. Message the sellerThe sale, the payment and the delivery are between the two of you. BudTrader is never a party to them.

Selling

  1. Complete your company profileCompany name, what you do, where you are and how to reach you. Listings cannot be added until it is complete.
  2. Add your license, for wholesale productsYou must have a valid cannabis license in the state where you advertise wholesale products. Enter the license number on your company profile; your listings then show the date we checked it.
  3. Add a ListingPick a listing type, fill in the essentials and publish. You can add detail afterwards.
  4. Answer inquiriesInquiries arrive in your dashboard with a simple pipeline. Other sellers never see them.

The Ground Rules

Four things that are true of every page on BudTrader.

  • BudTrader lists. It never sells.

    We are an advertising platform. We do not sell, ship, handle or take payment for cannabis, and we are not a party to any deal.

  • Licensed to licensed, same state

    Prices, quantities and contact details for plant-touching products are shown only to businesses holding a license we have checked, in the same state as the listing.

  • Every license check has a date

    A “License verified” badge shows the day we looked the license up in the state authority’s public record. No badge means no check.

  • Paid placement is labelled

    Featured and Sponsored mean the seller paid for the position. They are never an endorsement and never change who may see a listing.

What BudTrader is, who sees what, and what a badge does and does not mean.

Does BudTrader sell cannabis?

No. BudTrader is an advertising and marketplace platform. Businesses list what they offer and other businesses contact them; the sale itself, the payment and the delivery are between those two licensed businesses, and BudTrader is never a party to them. We never sell, ship, handle or take payment for cannabis.

Who can see wholesale prices and contact details?

Signed-in businesses holding a license we have checked, in the same state as the listing. Everyone else sees a summary without prices, quantities or contact details.

What does “License verified” mean?

On the date shown, we looked the license up in the state authority’s public record and it was active. It says nothing else about the business or its products, so do your own checks before you trade.

What do I need before I can add a listing?

A completed company profile. To advertise wholesale cannabis products you also need a valid cannabis license in the state where you advertise them, entered on your company profile. Everything else can be listed as soon as the profile is complete.

Do I need separate accounts to buy and to sell?

No. One account does both. Switch between Buying and Selling from your dashboard whenever you like.

What does it cost?

Buying is free. Sellers choose a plan from $19 a month, published on the pricing page. If a listing is marked Featured or Sponsored, that seller paid for the position.

I am a retailer. What is here for me?

Every wholesale listing in your state, with prices once your license is checked; saved searches that email you new listings; and the Wanted Board, where you post what you need without your name and licensed sellers respond.
